Some verbs don't take the progressive tense.
Consider the famous advertising tagline: "I'm loving it." Everyone knows where this comes from however grammatically, it is wrong. The verb love cannot take a progressive tense.
Here's a list of verbs that don't use progressive tenses:

think (meaning "have an opinion")

All the verbs in green on the right CAN take the progressive tense. They are considered 'dynamic verbs'.
A common mistake most newcomers make is:"I'm having 3 daughters. (or 3 something)" - the proper form is:"I have 3 daughters.""I have a red car."
