READING IS FUN!

READING practice:

For anyone who would like to get extra reading practice and learn about the world, here are three news websites that give you a variety of different stories:

(this is the CBC!!)

What does CBC mean?

(this is local news in the GTA)

What does GTA mean?

G=
T=
A=

3.  www.bbc.com/news/
(this is world news - click on your continent.... i.e.  Europe, Asia, North America and get news for your country and area)

What does BBC mean?

B=
B=
C=

All of these combinations of letters; CBC, GTA, BBC are called acronyms.  The first letter (initial) is the first letter of the word....
similar to the acronyms used on the internet.... LOL means:
L= laugh
O= out
L= loud

Hi Everyone!

Today's the day to return to classes... we've had a long holiday break; Christmas and New Year's combined and there was work being done in our building.

Classes start again at 5 p.m. this evening.

Changes are happening for Brampton English Services Team.
All the classes will be held in the evenings now.

Mondays:  5 - 8 p.m.
Wednesdays: 5 - 8 p.m.

There will be two classes in the evenings;
beginner/intermediate

upper intermediate/advanced.

Two teachers will be working with the learners.

Directly across from the Brampton Hospital.

Intermediate and Advanced classes from 1 - 4 p.m.

Beginner and Intermediate classes from 5 - 8 p.m.
